Seeds for koha in Raglan
Greg Roughan - Green Ideas editor
This just in from Raglan: the seed bank at the Whaingaroa Environment Centre are having a clear out!
A load of seeds that have been sitting in the safe for one or two years need to go. They are waiting for you to help yourselves to, in exchange for koha. [Koha is an example of the reciprocity which is a common feature of much Māori tradition. Traditionally this takes the form of food.]
There is a range of seeds, including okra, pumpkin, radish, pepper, onion, viola, meadowfoam, burdock, chervil, daisy.... and lots of other flowers and veges.
All welcome to come in and have a look through and add something new to your garden.
