Refugee charity appeals for equipment
Greg Roughan - Green Ideas editor
The Mt Roskill, Auckland-based Refugee Youth Action Network is asking for donations of any unwanted art or photography equipment or gardening materials to help get youth training projects under way.
The organisation works to support young people from refugee backgrounds through education, employment and engagement and is currently developing arts workshops and a garden project.
To get the garden project up and running the Refugee Youth Action Network needs compost bins, a worm farm, picnic tables, garden tools, materials to build planter boxes, and seeds or seedlings.
