Auckland is bursting at the seams with young talented designers and the Schools’ Trash to Fashion Awards is the perfect arena to showcase their talent and arts.

Organisers of the Schools' Trash to Fashion Awards are now calling for entries from young designers across the region.

The Schools Trash to Fashion Awards (ST2F) is an annual event produced by Auckland Council, which helps spread the word about recycling, reusing and reducing waste and gives students the opportunity to work on a creative project with an environmental twist, using recycled items to create high fashion and moveable art.

This year’s theme is 'Around the World' and is about celebrating our city and the unique origins of those that live here – we want young designers to explore the roots of Aucklanders.

The awards are open to all primary, intermediate and secondary pupils aged between five and 17. Students can enter through their school or as individuals and have until 16 June to complete their garment.
